My favorite chocolate delights

These Cookies Have No Name: unless you count the one I gave them "Addictive Chocolate Delights From Heaven Above"
One Pkg Ritz Crackers
Creamy Peanut Butter
Melted Milk Chocolate ( takes more then you think just get a brick or large bag of chocolate chips to be safe)
makes about 16 cookies

Make a sandwich out of the ritz crackers with a generous amount of peanut butter.
Place wax paper on a tray, dip sandwiches in the chocolate and place on tray fully
covered in chocolate, the thicker the chocolate the better!!! then place in freezer for at least an hour.

Melt chocolate in double boiler pan or in the microwave on defrost, defrost on 1 minute increments until melted.

Musical Amusings

Things I have been watching and liestening too, I really thought my Lily Allen love would be over by now she must be a keeper if I still love her music so.

Amazing Cream Cheese Wontons!!

Katrice and I have spent a fortune on our favorite cream cheese wontons. So, when we started craving our favorite snack we decided to make our own, and it was so easy!!
Here is the recipe we made up.

One pkg of small wonton wrappers (you'll only use about half a pkg) you can find them in the produce refrigerator section at the grocery store
One pkg reg 8oz cream cheese
One small tub of sweet chili sauce; about 2Tlbs (you can buy this at any Thai restaurant)
Oil for frying

Blend chili sauce and cream cheese together. Spoon about a tsp of cheese into each wrapper. Then Pinch the sides to form a flower (picture above),deep fry in a small pan of oil until golden brown. They are so delicious and easy!!! In all this recipe took us about 5 minutes to make 35 wontons.

Sewing Up Some Presents

Mother's Day was on Sunday but it was also My father's birthday and my Sister's fiancee's birthday. So we had an a bunch of people over and celebrated. Unfortunately that meant I needed 4 presents and as I had forgotten about it until saturday night I sewed up some aprons for my mother's and traded some art for jam at the beehive bazaar. as these are the first aprons I've ever made and I didn't have a pattern i think i did pretty well. I even made some mother daughter aprons. (my dad and brother-in-law got jam.) the child's apron went to Elle she loves it.

I really enjoyed picking the colors and making up patterns so I think I will be selling some of these at the bijou market just got accepted and am so excited.

Some of My Favorite Recipes:

French Bread

----------------------------------
This bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's absolutely addicting!!!
My Mother-in-Law makes it for dinner and I love it!
Leftover bread makes an amazing grilled cheese, panini or toast.

3 1/2 Cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 tsp fast acting yeast
1 1/2 Cup water
spray bottle containing water

Combine yeast and water in mixer. Then slowly add in flour and salt. As soon as dough forms a ball and is not sticking to the edges stop adding flour and remove dough from mixer. (If your dough seems to be too dry add a Tlbsp of water at a time till it is soft and a bit sticky) Do Not Knead, place directly in greased bowl and cover then allow to rise for one and 1/2 hours. When risen punch down and fold dough into a rounded loaf shape, (round, baguette style whatever you want) with the fold seam on the bottom. Cover dough with towel on greased cooking tray and allow to raise for one 1/2 more hours. When it is ready to go in the oven make 4 slices with a knife on the top of the dough to give it that truly frenchy look

Now it's ready to bake!! (Now here is my favorite part!!!)

to Bake preheat the oven to 450 degrees, and bake for 25-30 mins. As the bread is in the oven take the spray bottle and spray the bread. This will cause the bread to crust and form a crunchy coating for your yummi bread. I like to spray it every 5 mins. You can spray more or less depending how crunchy you like it.

DO NOT: store in plastic bag, that will ruin crust and taste. simply leave out in air, cut side down.

Recipe For Left Over Bread
-------------------------------------------
This rarely happens in my house but, sometimes there is extra bread after dinner.

This is when I make crusty, crunchy delicious grilled cheeses.

French Style Grilled Cheese
-------------------------------------------
I Can't give exact ingredients because size of bread varies so much.
Mayo
Shredded Cheddar and Jack Cheese
Butter
optional: thinly sliced honey ham, or turkey

I Figure every one know how to do this but here;
Butter one side of bread slice.
Cover one unbuttered side with shredded cheese. place on frying pan or griddle
spread mayo on one second slice, (unbuttered side), place on top.
(I love mine with ham in the middle of the cheese so it will stick together and the top doesn't slide off)

One trick to making it more like a panini is heat another frying pan and use that hot frying pan to squish the sandwich.

If you are daring place one fried egg on top of sandwich for a french madame croquet (ultimate breakfast sandwich)!!!!!

This sandwich goes amazing with a soup Lauren gave me:

Tomato Pesto Bisque:
-----------------------------------------
2 Cans of Tomato Soup
1 Can of half and half, or cream, (I like it with milk too)
3 Tlbs Basil Pesto

Pour 2 cans of tomato soup into pot to simmer then add pesto and half and half.

The Cream makes a thick rich bisque, the Half and Half is the most popular at my house. My super picky nieces and nephews LOVE this soup THANK YOU LAUREN.
